The Wildwoods, a folk/Americana trio originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, will be playing at the Pump House Regional Arts Center in downtown La Crosse on Friday, April 5. Doors open at 7 p.m., and music will start at 7:30 p.m.
Comprised of husband and wife Noah (guitar) and Chloe Gose (violin) and Andrew Vaggalis (bass), the band blends their voices and instruments to create graceful, delicate harmonies.
They draw inspiration from a wide range of music styles, including Watchhouse, Peter, Paul & Mary, Joni Mitchell and The Decemberists. They derive original lyrics and melodies from nature, love, growing up in Nebraska and experiences from the road.
The Wildwoods released their debut album Sweet Nostalgia and a duo extended play (EP), Birdie & Goose in 2017. Since then, they have released two full-length records and multiple singles. Additionally, they have performed in Sofar concerts in London, Brooklyn and St. Louis, as well as Summerfest. Their current tour encompasses over 65 shows, from Berkeley, California to Birmingham, Alabama.
To follow along with The Wildwoods, you can find them on Spotify, Instagram and their website.
Tickets for the event can be found on Pump House’s website. Student tickets are $15, general public is $30.
