Letter to the Editor: Delta Sigma Pi – Eta Rho volunteers at WAFER food pantry to give back to the community

Saturday morning, on April 23, 2022, several members from Delta Sigma Pi–Eta Rho, gathered at WAFER Food Pantry to participate in the monthly food fair. WAFER is the largest food pantry in La Crosse serving anyone, any person or family that needs food. WAFER’s mission is to, “provide food and work to eliminate hunger.”
The Food Fair is held on the fourth Saturday of every month and serves over one hundred individuals. Channel One Foodbank in Rochester, MN, provides food for WAFER to distribute amongst the attendees. Volunteers contribute in a variety of roles such as loading vehicles, handing out food, breaking down cardboard, assembling food packages, and controlling traffic.
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional business fraternity focused on encouraging personal and professional development. The Eta Rho chapter founded at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse includes approximately 80 members. Our Brothers volunteered at this event to give back to the community.

These students are representatives of tomorrows leaders. It is nice to see these business students realize that they can be assets to the community. Thanks for all you do.
