Kendra Elise Whelan is a senior at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse and has been protesting at the Clock Tower every day this week after the sexual misconduct allegations at UWL came to light. Whelan commented on her protesting:

“I am currently protesting to remind Chancellor Gow that there is a consequence to an action, and there are consequences to a lack of transparency, and there are consequences when you enable abuse on this campus.

I am here for every student whose abuse was ignored and enabled by this administration and their apparent lack of respect for Title IX and the Clery Act. Students have a right to know what is going on and students have a right to safety on this campus. I don’t care if this administration takes this as a joke, I don’t. And I will remind them that they say they are listening, but we are watching, and we care.” #humansofuwl

Whelan encourages other students to join her at the Clock Tower every day at 12 p.m.
