What do you love about Planned Parenthood?

K.C. Cayo: “They provide health care, it is so much more than just the little niche idea that people think of when they connect Planned Parenthood to their reproductive justice fight. There is so much that they do: sex education, birth control, necessary screenings.

There is so much in the medical field that Planned Parenthood covers, and it is important to be a part of that movement and it is also important to support movements like that because Planned Parenthoods are going out of business in some places I have lived for instance. There is only one in the Milwaukee area that I can remember and there used to be multiple.

Considering there are not a lot of places that will do these services for you, it is important to support a cause like this and it sends a message to our representatives that this is a cause that is important to us and we are invested in.”

Kristin Mitchell: “Planned Parenthood means a lot to not only women in general but the whole community. They not only provide safe and affordable health care, screenings, and all of that good stuff but they provide information and education to the public which is really crucial and very important in today’s society when the Trump administration is trying to defund these types of programs when it is really important to our society and our communities too.”

Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin will be tabling off and on the coming weeks in the Student Union. #humansofuwl
