Sounds of United States Navy aircrafts were heard by over 10,000 people who visited The Deke Slayton Airfest in La Crosse this past weekend. The Airfest was hosted at La Crosse’s regional airport on French Island June 15-16, but local La Crosse residents could see and hear the Blue Angels practicing all week long in preparation for the show.

Along with the Blue Angels, the airshow also featured thrilling performances from the skilled pilots on the United States Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team, Michael Goulian, Susan Dacy, Michael Vankin, Bob Richards and Erik Edgren.

As the Blue Angels prepare to head to their next destination in Dayton, Ohio, they continue to inspire and captivate audiences nationwide. The Blue Angels’ airshow season continues through November, with appearances in over 30 cities, celebrating the spirit and innovation of naval aviation.
