Spring has officially arrived in La Crosse, and the campus of the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse is shaking off the last traces of winter. Warmer weather has brought students back outside to enjoy walks to and from class, along with the chance to relax on campus.
Sidewalks that were once covered in snow and students bundled in layers are now filled with students moving at an easier pace, lingering between classes, and taking the long way across campus just to spend a few extra minutes outside.
However, students aren’t the only things returning to campus. Trees are starting to bloom; flowers are popping up and the cherry blossoms and tulips along the sidewalks are finally showing some color again.
As the spring semester nears its end, the warmer weather feels like a welcome push toward the finish line. Although for many students, it’s also a fleeting window to enjoy everything the season has to offer before summer begins and campus quiets again.
